This car has been
prepared to meet the technical regulations of the Historic Rally
Car Register which allow only period modifications to be made. The
original 997 cc engine has been replaced with the 1500 cc unit
from a Ford Cortina Mk.1 GT (modified by Brian Randall Racing
Engines of Stanton, Suffolk).
Front suspension is
Ford Classic Capri (disc brakes as standard) with uprated coil
springs, larger calipers and additional anti-roll bar. Rear
suspension remains standard, but with uprated springs. Wheels are
Ford Lotus Cortina shod with Axxium
tyres.
