The Historic Rally Car Register (HRCR), founded
in 1984, is the leading club for those interested in historic rallying
and fosters interest in and organizes events for the kinds of cars that
took part in rallies in the fifties, sixties and seventies. Championships are run within the UK for both
Road and Stage Rally competitors Cars running under the auspices of the HRCR
must comply with detailed technical regulations that only allow
performance-enhancing modifications that are period to the car. Safety
considerations allow the fitting of modern competition seats and
harnesses, and roll-cages. This is a website dedicated to
maintaining interest in the Talbot Sunbeam and maintaining contact
between those using Sunbeam's for racing and rallying. The Tour of Mull was the UK's first closed road stage rally. Organised by the 2300 Club and run every October, the Tour is a firm favourite amongst club rally enthusiasts. After marshalling on the event for many years Sideways Motorsport will be competing in the Tour of Mull for the first time in 2000.
